The app opens on My memory
The app used to open on People. Everyone you talk to had a note, and the one person it never described was you: you appeared in the history lines as the one who said things, and nowhere else.
My memory is now the first thing you see, and it has a file of its own at
the root of your vault, 00_Me.md, beside your task list. Its sections are
About, Preferences, Goals and Ideas.
How it is filled:
- From your own lines only. A fact about you has to come from a message you sent. Something the other person said about you is dropped, however confident it sounds.
- Each bullet keeps the day behind it, so a fact can be traced to the conversation it came from.
- A fact that stops being true moves to Earlier, with the date it stopped, and is never deleted.
- A new vault gets a first pass before the people. The wizard reads your side of your busiest chats and queues what it found for you to confirm.
The page is read-only in the app. Corrections belong in the file, in Obsidian or any editor, which is also where you can delete a line you would rather not keep.
A business profile works the same way, except that every member signs as themselves, so the note is about the business rather than one person's private life.
