WhatsApp is live
WhatsApp went into production on 17 September 2026 and the first account connected the next day. It is the second channel after Telegram, and connecting it takes the same scan you already know: Tracebrain joins as a linked device, the way WhatsApp Web does, and you can remove it from Linked devices on your phone whenever you like.
The two channels do not reach back equally far, and the difference is worth knowing before you connect:
| Channel | How it connects | How far back it reads |
|---|---|---|
| Telegram | Your own login | All of your one-to-one history |
| A linked device | The last three months |
Three months is WhatsApp's own limit on what a linked device is given, not a setting. From the day you connect, everything new is read as it arrives, so the window stops mattering after the first quarter.
Everything written from WhatsApp is written the same way as from Telegram: the conversation files itself into the note of the person you had it with, the profile is rewritten from what was said, and the night's review covers both channels in one note. A person you talk to on both appears once, with both conversations under one name.
Group chats are skipped on both channels for now.
